New Plymouth umpire Angela Jowitt (pictured) has just returned from a week of umpiring at the World Masters Games in Auckland.
She umpired the TBags, the team entered by the late Tania Dalton which featured several ex-Silver Ferns including Anna Stanley and Leonie Leaver and two former Samoan internationals.
She was also appointed to the ANZAC game between the NZ Defence Force and the British Air Force and on finals day umpired the Gold v Silver medal match for the Social Competitive 35+ age group, “which was an exciting and competitive game between a NZ and Australian team”.
“It was an awesome week with lots of experience of many styles of netball and a great chance to meet umpires from around the world,”she said.
